Leave Dakar for Ndangane Sambou: 8:00AM
Leave Ndangane Sambou by pirogue boat to Mar Lodj: 11:30AM
Arrive to Cap Mariane, Mar Lodj: 11:45AM
Check-in and Lunch: 12PM-2:30PM
Fishing 2:30 – 6:00PM
Return to Campement and Dinner 6:00 – 8:00PM

Trip Details
Where: Fatick Region, Mar Lodj Island
Transport: Take your own car/carpool or take a rented car. The price of the car will be figured after we know how many people want to take the rental car.
Price Breakdown:
Trip: 15,000 cfa
Room (all meals included. You have an option between a double and a triple. They are the same price): 26,600 cfa
Pirogue Transport (will be divided among the # of trip participants once we have all the sign-ups—the more people who go, the cheaper it will be): 30,000 cfa
Rental car: Dependent on # of people signed up for rental car
Activities (fishing, kayaking, birdwatching): Negotiable upon arrival at the campement
Trip Capacity: 16 from the American Embassy Community/ 4 from outside the Embassy. Spots may shift either way depending on sign-ups. People include children.
What to Bring: Swimsuit. All other activity paraphernalia will be provided by the campement.
Important Note: Please be aware that the campement is on an island and you will have to leave your cars on the mainland. We have hired a car guard for the time you are on the island. Please pack knowing that everything you bring will have to be hauled over on the pirogue.
